SAFEWAY General Contracting was built by two experienced engineers who recognized Abu Dhabi’s growing need for reliable industrial construction services. Starting in the early 1980s, our co-founders combined their complementary expertise – one specializing in heavy machinery installation and foundation work, the other focused on electrical systems and facility construction.
Our first founder brought extensive experience in machinery foundations and structural engineering. His background working with industrial equipment taught him that every foundation must be built to last, because replacing heavy machinery foundations costs companies thousands in downtime and repairs. This technical precision became the foundation of SAFEWAY’s reputation.
The second founder specialized in electrical and MEP systems, understanding the critical importance of TAQA compliance and proper power distribution in industrial facilities.
